As you look for instructors to help you continue your tango journey, keep in mind that Argentine Tango is very different from Ballroom (aka American or Salon) Tango even though they're exactly the same name. (Think of how the word "football" means one thing in the USA and something entirely different in the rest of the world!) For more about Cape Cod Tango's focus and what makes Argentine Tango so unique, please visit our "What is Argentine Tango, anyway?" page for a quick look at what it is...and isn't. Hint: If you're thinking of what you see on television, you should find Ballroom Argentine Tango classes.
Cape Cod's own tango resources are limited. Cape Cod Tango hosts "Practilonga" every Thursday, which usually includes a lesson from 7-8pm, the level varies. If you are interested in group lessons here on the Cape, please sign up for CapeCodTango's email newsletter so we can send you occasional notes about Argentine Tango here on the Cape and Islands. We don't rent or sell our member lists and we promise not to spam you -- we will just send out infrequent alerts when beginner classes or other tango-related events are coming to Cape Cod.
For those willing to travel into a city, Boston and Providence have a wealth of tango-learning opportunities. And of course, nothing beats a tango vacation!
